(verb) to treat so as to alter the appearance or character of; to falsify, tamper with, disguise.

Almeida Associate Director Robert Icke and Juliet Stevenson reunite at the Almeida for their third collaboration, following Mary Stuart and Hamlet. 

Following its Almeida run, The Doctor was performed at the Dunstan Playhouse, Adelaide, where it ran from 27th February to 8th March 2020. It also transferred to the Duke of York’s Theatre in the West End, and ran from 29th September to 11 December 2022.
