Almeida Academy is a programme of Saturday drama classes for children and young people aged 5 to 14.
Run by industry professionals from a world-class theatre, the Almeida Academy gives children and young people the opportunity to experiment with their creativity, build confidence, develop talent, and most importantly, have fun!
Don't worry if you haven't tried it before - our sessions are open to everybody. Group sizes are small so that we can help each individual develop. Classes last 90 minutes and offer a variety of different activities to develop performance skills. Over the year, each Academy group will work towards a production which brings together the skills and techniques they have been learning throughout the programme.
In 2018, the Academy will be working with writers Emma Pritchard and Sam Gayton through a series of workshops and reharsals to create two brand new pieces of theatre which will be performed on the Almeida stage.
