Resident Designers

BY Almeida Theatre   October 22, 2019

The Almeida Theatre’s Resident Designer programme offers a group of Sound Designers and Set/Costume Designers in the early stage of their careers an opportunity to develop their skills for a year with the support of our Artistic and Production teams.

The scheme offers training to develop ideas for individual projects, a budget to see plays, mentorship, as well as the opportunity to work as an Assistant Designer on one of our main-stage productions, from planning period and rehearsals to the show opening. Other opportunities include working with our Production team, attending workshops and readings, and the possibility of designing for our Young Company productions.

The Almeida's Resident Designers programme is generously supported by Universal Music and an anonymous individual.
