Community Response Project: Apply Now

Are you interested in creating and developing performances with like-minded people?

We are looking for a group of energetic and creative people to take part in a response project based on our upcoming production of The Wave by Molly Taylor.

Working with industry-leading creatives, you will devise, develop and perform short pieces on the set of The Wave. You don’t need experience, just a willingness to turn up and bring your energy into the room! The project is open to adults over the age of 18. We are particularly interested in meeting adults ages 35+.

In addition to the Response Project, we are excited to offer participants the chance to also perform as part of The Wave, on Monday 22 July – Wednesday 24 July.

Details of the Show

The Wave is a devised production created by Almeida Young Company, written by Molly Taylor and directed by Roberta Zuric. Inspired by The Third Wave (Experiment) by Ron Jones, this play follows a group of students as they are recruited into an experiment to demonstrate how fascism could come to rise within our current society.

Performing in The Wave

In the final scene of the play, we see the future selves of a selection of the students. Each person has a short line that explains how the experiment impacted upon their lifetime. Performers of this role will need to be 35+.
