“So the question is, how do we stop this?”
“The protests? Or the potential extinction of the human race?”

Extinction Rebellion has taken control of the streets. In the midst of this city-wide protest, a group of climate activists meet with a senior MP to discuss their demands.

This short sharp comedy from Jack Cooper Stimpson and Sam Haygarth includes Academy Award-winner Emma Thompson, Rakhee Thakrar (Sex Education) and Tom Glynn-Carney (The Ferryman).

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with members of the cast and creative team, including actor Charlotte Hamblin.

This screening of Extinction is part of the Shifting Tides festival.

Director & Writer

Jack Cooper Stimpson is a writer and director from South London. Jack attended the BRIT School and trained with The National Youth Theatre. Jack wrote and produced his directorial debut Alex’s Dream starring Alex Lawther (End of the F***ing World, Black Mirror) and in 2019 the political satire Extinction starring Academy Award winner Emma Thompson. Jack is currently developing Extinction into a six part series for BBC Studios.
