Dr Joan Taylor, Professor of Christian Origins and Second Temple Judaism at King’s College London, is a historian of religion with special interests in biblical, Jewish and early Christian literature, archaeology, ancient cultural contexts and issues of women/gender. She is the author of numerous articles and books (most recently Jesus and Brian, published by Bloomsbury), and she also writes novels and poetry.
