Michael keeps away from the warring tribes until a passerby helps him out of a tight situation. Instantly, he is pulled into the culture he has tried to escape. As the city spirals out of control around him and battle lines are drawn, will Michael succeed in ending the war?

Inua Ellams

Writer and Performer

Inua Ellams is an award-winning poet, playwright and performer. He has five books published including his most recent pamphlet of poems Candy Coated Unicorns and Converse All Stars (Flipped Eye, 2011). He has worked with amongst others: The Royal Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, The National Theatre, BAC, Roundhouse, Soho Theatre, TATE Modern and Britain and the Southbank Centre. His first play The 14th Tale, won a Fringe First Award at the Edinburgh Festival 2009 before touring nationally and transferring to the National Theatre in Spring 2010.

Walking from the Almeida Theatre
Spa Fields is approximately a 22 minute walk of 1.1 miles / 1770 metres from the Almeida Theatre. Walk south down Upper street towards Angel, continue down St. John street, turn right down Rosebery Avenue and then left onto Rosoman Street or Tysoe Street. Continue going straight until you come to Spa Fields.

The nearest tube stations to Spa Fields are Angel, Farringdon and Barbican.

Buses 19, 38, 63, 153 and 341 all make stops within a short walking distance of Spa Fields

Parking is Zone A for resident permit holders only until 6.30pm
