Take part in a writing workshop in the Almeida Bar led by award winning playwright Rachel De-lahay. Rachel’s most recent play, Circles, for which she won the Pearson Award to write, and won the Catherine Johnson Award from Channel 4, transferred to the Tricycle Theatre in London after a sell-out run at Birmingham Rep. Rachel is currently developing her first two feature films.

Rachel De-lahay

Rachel’s most recent play, Circles, for which she won the Pearson Award to write, and won the Catherine Johnson Award from Channel 4, transferred to the Tricycle Theatre in London after a sell out run at Birmingham Rep.

Her last play Routes opened Vicky Featherstone's first season at the Royal Court in September 2013. For this Rachel won the Charles Wintour Award for Most Promising Playwright at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2013. It followed her first play, The Westbridge, which was also produced at the Royal Court Theatre and went on to win the 2012 Writers Guild Award for best play as well as coming joint first for the 2011 Alfred Fagon Award.

Rachel is currently developing her first two features. One with Film Four and Independent Films for which she was picked as Screen Star of Tomorrow 2013 and the other with Andrew Eaton.

She has also written an afternoon play, Carnival, which was aired on BBC Radio Four August 2013 and repeated September 2015, and is developing brand new content for both Channel Four, Netflix and Sky Atlantic.

Her co-created and co-written, Last Hours of Laura K - the Bafta nominated, multi platform, 24-hour murder mystery - is still available on the BBC taster Website.
