Almeida Theatre wins six Olivier Awards

At the Olivier Awards 2023, the Almeida Theatre won six awards across three productions. The winners were announced at a ceremony held at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 2 April.

Associate Director Rebecca Frecknall’s production of A Streetcar Named Desire was named Best Revival, with awards also going to Paul Mescal for Best Actor, and Anjana Vasan for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

Will Keen took home the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Peter Morgan’s Patriots.

For their performances in our new musical Tammy FayeKatie Brayben won Best Actress in a Musical, and Zubin Varla for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical.
