As Waters Rise was originally conceived as a stage production for the Almeida Young Company (14-18). However, due to the coronavirus lockdown, the script was tailored to be performed as an audio drama with each performer rehearsing and recording their parts from home.
To help the cast get into the mindset of their characters, they each created a mood board representing the character's interests, outlook and feelings.
To help the Young Company explore their roles and delve into how their characters think and behave, they created the following additional material in-character which is sometimes referred to in the episodes, and is sometimes wholly created from their own imagination.
Ethan's Messages (by Daniel Molyneaux)
Molly & Nathan's messages (by Talula Jahangiri)
Will's voicenote to Beth (by Joseph Wolffe)
