Relaxed Environment Performances

Disabled patrons and a companion can buy discounted tickets. There are also £5 tickets available for those aged 25 and under.

We regularly hold back tickets for these performances for those who need to make use of our access provisions. So even if the performance looks sold out online it’s worth contacting the Box Office.

What Happens at a Relaxed Environment Performance?

These performances allow for noise and movement in the auditorium, re-entry when needed and a space outside the auditorium where audience members can sit if they need time away from the show.

At these performances there will be no (or very minimal) technical adjustments made to the production on stage, so they are not suitable for people with sensory sensitivities. These performances are also not suitable for babes in arms.

Relaxed Environment performances are open to all but are particularly suitable for anyone who benefits from being able to make a noise, leave and return to their seat, or access the toilets during the performance.

During these performances auditorium lights will be left on at a low level throughout to allow for easier exit and entry. We can also supply a Relaxed Environment Pack ahead of the performance on request, that can help with planning a visit. This includes a scene-by-scene summary of the plot and highlights triggering content and sensory triggers, such as loud noises.
