On Thu 11 May we will be holding free workshops and events for those aged 25 and under, including a free performance of The Secret Life of Bees.
Tickets for all events go on sale on Thu 4 May at 5pm.

The Secret life of bees For Free Performance
This free performance is exclusively for those aged 25 and under
Thu 11 May 7.30pm (approx. 2 hours & 30 mins, incl. an interval)
From the Pulitzer Prize-winning writer of Sweat, the Tony Award-winning composer of Spring Awakening, and Tony Award-nominated lyricist of Jelly’s Last Jam comes a “vibrant new musical” (The i) full of “astonishingly powerful music” (The Guardian) about a group of women ignited by rebellion and longing for acceptance.
1964, South Carolina. Rosaleen is fighting for her right to vote, and Lily is escaping her violent father. When this unlikely pair flee their small town, they seek salvation at a remote honey bee farm run by the remarkable Boatwright sisters. But will their past catch up with them?
Written by playwright Lynn Nottage, composer Duncan Sheik and lyricist Susan Birkenhead, The Secret Life of Bees is “buzzing with delights” (The Times) and features “performances of real star quality” (WhatsOnStage). Directed by Whitney White and based on the best-selling novel by Sue Monk Kidd, this production “deserves to generate a real buzz” (The Telegraph).
The Secret Life of Bees is presented in association with Sonia Friedman Productions, Lauren Shuler Donner, Marianne Mills, Bob Cohen, Hugo Six and Atlantic Theater Company.
Tickets are free and exclusive to those aged 25 and under, limited to 2 per person. Proof of age must be brought to the performance for each ticketholder.

Movement workshop with shekinah mcfarlane
This free event is exclusively for those aged 25 and under
Thu 11 May 11am (approx. 2 hours)
Please note this workshop will take place at New Unity, 277A Upper St, London N1 2TZ
Explore the movement and choreography used to create the world of The Secret Life of Bees in this practical workshop with cast member and dance captain Shekinah McFarlane. Shekinah is an actor whose work includes Six (West End/ UK tour), American Idiot; Tommy (UK tour) and West Side Story (Curve Theatre, Leicester).
No experience is required, and participants will need to wear clothes they can move in.
Tickets are free and exclusive to those aged 25 and under, tickets are limited to one per person. Please bring proof of age.
Acting Through Song Masterclass with Tarinn Callender
This free event is exclusively for those aged 25 and under
Thu 11 May 2pm (approx. 2 hours)
Join leading West End actor Tarinn Callender (The Drifters Girl, Hamilton) and cast member of The Secret Life of Bees for this Acting Through Song Masterclass. You will have the chance to watch Tarinn work with young actors onstage as he shares insights and approaches to acting through song. There will be opportunities to ask questions and discuss the work on stage. No previous experience is necessary.
