On Thu 16 Mar we will be holding a variety of free workshops and events for those aged 25 and under, including a free performance of Women, Beware the Devil.

…and the Devil’s having some fun.
For Lady Elizabeth nothing is more important than protecting her family’s legacy and their ancestral home. When that comes under threat, she elicits the help of Agnes, a young servant suspected of witchcraft. But Agnes has dark dreams of her own for this house.
Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold (Spring Awakening, Patriots) directs this deadly new play of treachery and trickery by The Sunday Times Playwriting Award-winner Lulu Raczka (Antigone, Nothing).
Tickets are free and exclusive to those aged 25 and under, limited to 2 per person. Proof of age must be brought to the performance for each ticketholder.
We have a limited amount of extra tickets available for youth groups who would like to attend. Please contact participate@almeida.co.uk if you would like to request tickets for your group.

Introduction to Costume Design with Evie Gurney

Join Costume Designer for Women, Beware the Devil Evie Gurney for this introduction to costume design where Evie will share her approach to designing the costumes for the show as well as practical approaches to getting started as a costume designer. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear about Evie’s career and journey from the fashion industry to designing for the stage.
No previous experience is necessary, and this event is aimed at anyone aged 25 and under with an interest in fashion, design or hoping to learn more about costume design.
Tickets are free and exclusive to those aged 25 and under, tickets are limited to one per person. Please bring proof of age.
Playwriting with Lulu Raczka

Lulu Raczka, writer of Women, Beware the Devil, will lead a practical playwriting workshop with ideas, exercises, and approaches to developing your own craft as a writer. Lulu will also share insights into the process of writing Women, Beware the Devil, and its journey to the stage.
This workshop is suitable for anyone wishing to develop as a playwright, and no previous experience is required.

Directing Workshop with dubheasa Lanipekun

Join Dubheasa Lanipekun, Assistant Director on Women, Beware the Devil, for a practical insight into directing. This workshop will allow you to use the text of the play to explore approaches to working on new writing and develop your own craft as a director.
