Beyond Her Years

By Almeida Young Company, Created and Directed by Hana Pascal Keegan

Event details

This event has passed

Sun 11 - Sun 18 Aug 2024

Created in response to Eline Arbo‘s production of The Years.

Two women promised wealth and stability,
By men eager for their love,
Unable to forget how it felt to…

And now: Dancers determined to win,
Determined to own their own bodies,
Determined to figure out what they want from life
And take it!

Beyond Her Years innovatively interweaves four iconic plays: Henrik Ibsen‘s Hedda Gabler and The Lady from the Sea, Clare Barron‘s Dance Nation, and Ifeyinwa Frederick‘s The Hoes.

With energy and dynamism, women’s stories dance in and out of the spotlight in this fiery new play from the Almeida Young Company, created and directed by Hana Pascal Keegan (Assistant Director on Portia Coughlan; Associate Director on The Secret Garden).
